She is Professor at JNTUH College of Engineering Hyderabad, Telangana, where she has been teaching for the past 25 years. She received her B. Tech. degree in EEE and M. Tech. degree in Power System Operation and Control from Sri Venkateswara University, Tirupati, Andhra Pradesh. She received Ph. D from JNTUH Hyderabad and Post-Doctoral from Carnegie Mellon University, Pittsburgh, USA. She has published/presented more than 150 papers in international and national journals/conferences of repute.
