Job Profile

Description: Lead the Digital Programme within the School Publishing Division.

·         To undertake market research and competition analysis vis-à-vis digital resources

·         To put down resource and requirement planning in consultation with the Publishing Head.

·         To ensure optimal use of the project budget, while ensuring stringent quality control.

·         To define the scope of work for vendors and create vendor contracts accordingly.

·         To work with the editorial teams from the commissioning stage to the final Master creation to ensure that the digital content being created meets the needs of the market and in relation to competing works.

·         To ensure that the Master developed is accurate in all respect before handing over for duplication.

·         To supervise the storyboarding, layout and design, and day-to-day schedule  of all assigned digital projects and see them through to final handover to Production

·         To selectively test digital material in-house to ensure that they do not deviate from the planned focus

·         To keep oneself up to date with changes in the school market scenario with regard to digital offerings available and to procure competing digital material as and when they are available.

·         To identify and train freelancers to assist in assigned projects

·         To prepare cost estimates and related documents for projects handled

·         To prepare and make presentations of digital material, as and when needed

·         To support the sales promotion effort in the field, as and when required.

·         To conduct fair appraisals of team members as well as to identify and to provide training to team members as and when required.

Job Requirement

Relevant Experience: 5 – 7 years

1. Any other additional responsibility could be assigned to the role holder from time to time as a standalone project or regular work. The same would be suitably represented in the Primary responsibilities and agreed between the incumbent and competent authority.

2. Should have had prior experience (at least 7-10 years) in Concept and New Idea Development in the digital arena in including digital platforms & social media, Project Management & Vendor Management.

3. Skills required: A working knowledge of animation and graphic software and a keen sense of aesthetics are essential requisites. The candidate should be a team player with proven abilities of vendor management and coordination with multiple teams.

4. Qualifications: The ideal candidate should have at least a Bachelor Degree with an additional degree/diploma in Computer Science/ Computer Application/Computer Programming and/or Multimedia, Graphic Design/Commercial Art.
