He worked on Plant Physiology for thirty years. For ten years he worked under Professor S C Aggarwal at the Botany Department, Lucknow University, and later taught graduate and postgraduate students at DAV College, Kanpur. Dr Sinha also worked on ten annual reports on plant composition scheme for the ICAR. He also supervised research work on various aspects of plant physiology.
