Dr S C Adlakha, M.V.Sc., Ph.D., held the position of Professor and Head, Department of Microbiology, Veterinary College, Mathura, Joint Commissioner (Livestock Health) Government of India and Assitant Director General (Animal Health) in the Indian Council of Agricultural Research. Dr. Adlakha, has also served as Vice-President of the Indian Association of Veterinary Microbiologists, Immunologists and Specialists in Infections Diseases of animals. He also the author of the ';Policy Paper' on Animal Health for the National Animal Husbandry Policy of the Government of India.
