Athar Aamir is a dedicated public servant and an inspiration to many. He achieved an impressive 2nd rank in the highly competitive Civil Services Examination in 2015, driven by a strong desire to contribute to society.

Born and raised in Jammu and Kashmir, he showed a keen interest in learning from a young age. He excelled in his studies at Tyndale Biscoe School in Srinagar. His academic talent led him to the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Mandi, where he earned an engineering degree.

While at IIT, Athar's interests broadened, and he was drawn to the idea of serving the nation through the Civil Services. Inspired by others who had taken this path, he embarked on his UPSC journey. At just 23, he became one of the youngest IAS officers in the country.

Athar's success was built on focussed study, thorough reading, and effective note-taking. He believes in understanding personal strengths and weaknesses to create a winning strategy.

From his beginnings in a small village in Kashmir to his achievements as an IAS officer, Athar Aamir's story highlights the power of hard work and determination in reaching one's dreams. His father is an educator which is one of the motivation sources for him to take up guidance work and writing this book.

He has also been recognised as an HT 30 Under 30 awardee and a DANIDA Fellow, and has contributed to the Smart City initiative in Srinagar.
