She is a Faculty and currently, the Area Chairperson of the Economics Department, MDI Gurgaon. After her postgraduation in economics from Jadavpur University, she joined the university as a UGC (NET) Research Fellow. On completion of her PhD in international trade and environment, she started working as a Research Associate at the Indira Gandhi Institute of Development Research (IGIDR), Mumbai, in 2005. Later, she shifted to management teaching while continuing her research in international trade and environment. Now, she focuses on environmental regulatory issues and the environmental management systems of companies in India and abroad. She has published a number of research papers in renowned national journals.
