This textbook has been designed to meet the needs of B.Sc. Second Semester (Core III) students of Physics as per the Common Minimum Syllabus prescribed for Odisha University and other Universities and Colleges under the recommended National Education Policy 2020 in Odisha.

This comprehensive textbook covers fundamental concepts and advanced applications in a structured and student-friendly manner. Divided into four well-organized units, the book explores core topics such as electric fields, Gauss's Law, Potential Theory, Magnetostatics, Electromagnetic Induction, Dielectric and Magnetic Properties of Matter and Circuit Theorems.

• Thorough Theoretical Coverage - From Electrostatics and Magnetostatics to Maxwell's Equations and Kirchhoff's Laws, the book provides a deep understanding of core principles.
• Practical Applications - Real-world relevance is emphasized through network theorems, AC and DC circuit analysis, and electromagnetic wave propagation.
• Extensive Problem Sets & Experiments - Includes carefully designed practical experiments on Galvanometers, Inductance Measurement, Capacitors, and Circuit Resonance to Reinforce Theoretical Knowledge.
• Conceptual Clarity - Step-by-step derivations, illustrative diagrams, and logical explanations make complex topics accessible to students.

Whether preparing for university exams or building a strong foundation in electromagnetism, this book serves as a must-have resource for physics students.
